Position Summary:

The Technical Analyst - RTS will be responsible for supporting development, maintenance, and enhancements to company's systems and applications. A person in this role will provide technical analysis, application testing, and database management support within our MS SQL Server environment. The expectation of the person in this role will apply good programming and query techniques and become adept at defensive methods to protect company's mission critical business systems. Experience with MS SQL Server Management Studio and Tools (SSRS, SSIS) is preferred. In addition, the Technical Analyst will also be expected to support and document processes and procedures for other business applications such as Azure Devops source control, GoAnywhere Software, and Redgate Software/Tools.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide support for Microsoft SQL Server environment, databases, and tools
  • Maintain technical documentation for supported systems and applications
  • Coordinate and assist project team (business analysts) through configuration and design decisions, providing direction to technical resources (including 3rd party consultants) to build, implement, and support technology solutions across multiple systems
  • Monitor system performance by gathering feedback from end users and utilizing technical tools to address system inefficiencies as required
  • Write complex custom enhancements or modify complex code for existing RSG applications
  • Apply release updates ensuring that custom add-ons and interfaces to other applications are not compromised
  • Lead the appropriate data analysis of underlying source data issues and understanding of data and systems interdependencies to fully resolve data cleansing/integrity issues.
  • Communicate with customers at all levels of technical and non-technical skills sets
  • Contribute to vision of the future state of the company
  • Challenge current state procedures and technology to identify potential areas of improvement
  • Solve complex problems by designing optimal solutions to best satisfy business requirements
  • Step into a leadership role within projects where required
  • Perform pre-User Acceptance Testing to ensure that documented business requirements are met
  • Communicate with software vendors/contractors, carriers, and 3rd parties regarding outages, fixes and other miscellaneous issues.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Preferred, not required: Bachelors' degree from an accredited University or college
  • Five years work experience within the Information Technology field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Advanced knowledge of MS SQL server and tools
  • Ability to take initiative, guide, and influence others toward goal accomplishment
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision
  • Proven track record of being a team player
  • Organized, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Experience in a Help Desk related environment
