The team you'll be part of
The Customer Experience organization provides a common interface to customers including account and relationship management, acting as the voice of the customer internally and creating demand across our business groups. While bringing deep understanding of local markets for our customer, the CX organization ensures strong alignment between sales and delivery teams.
Nokia is making key investments in product development, solution architectures and sales focused on the US Government market segment. Nokia Federal Solutions, (NFS) is a rapidly expanding company with an action oriented culture that will serve as a mission partner to the US Government. In this role as a federal account manager you will manage a piece of the Nokia Federal Solutions business, and be ultimately responsible for coordinating sales, engineering, and operations efforts by delivering Nokia value to US Government agencies and national security missions. Your interface to the customer will be direct to the US Government and indirect through the integrator and partner ecosystem.
Note: Due to the requirements of the National Security Agreement, only US Citizens and holders of a valid Green Card are eligible for this position.
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will identify and solve customer problems by proposing a wide range of technology solutions including optical networks, ip routing, wireless ( LTE, 5g ), data center, end to end security, and a suite of intelligent software, SDN, SDWAN, Ai/ML, and orchestration / automation tools.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Work with internal Nokia Mobility, Core Network Services, Network Infrastructure, and Bell Labs business units, partners, and the US Government, developing and proposing creative solutions to solve unique problems
  • Apply economic analysis and financial concepts when managing a sales opportunity
  • Apply highly technical solutions across a wide portfolio, harness extremely deep research and engineering talent, and integrate marketing efforts to present a world class solution to the customer within budget constraints and demanding operational schedules.
  • Must be capable of developing senior level customer executive relationships but comfortable working with all levels.
  • Contribute in a high performance team work environment, coordinating unity of effort and enabling all team members to perform at the highest level
Your skills and experience
You must have:
  • At least 7 years experience selling into the US Government vertical.and working closely with the National Security community in either military, government, system integrator, or telecommunications
  • Proven experience building customer relationships in the US Government community, while meeting term business targets in a competitive and highly complex marketplace.
  • Experience creating innovative solutions and ideas that develop into complex network architectures that solve customer problems.
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business or technical area of study, or equivalent relevant work experience in military, government, or industry directly with the Government community.
  • Broad general knowledge of technology areas; mobility, optics, IP routing, software and how to create and communicate value
  • Experience or academic knowledge of emerging wireless technologies, architectures, or real world deployments
  • Strong business acumen in planning and organizing, information integration, decision-making and ability to achieve results while focusing on customer requirements and business success.
  • Ability to form and lead a multi-functional team through complex, time sensitive proposals
