Our Advance Modeling and Design (AMD) group in Mechanical Technology Development develops recording head technology for Seagate's HDD products being introduced in 2 to 4+ years. The AMD group is responsible for underpinning the mechanical requirements for new technology, creating and deploying modeling tools, making performance assessments of new designs, and maturing selected technologies to productization.

Our Normandale campus spans two suburbs, Edina and Bloomington, and serves as the Recording Head development and manufacturing arm of Seagate.
