How you'll make an impact:
As a member of the Innovation Center at Pandora/SiriusXM you will be joining a team of SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) and Test Engineers responsible for testing of SiriusXM software and products related, but not limited to in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket SiriusXM products
The Staff Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.
What you'll do:
- Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
- Maintain current software architecture and develop new solutions
- Responsible for the creation, definition, implementation and leadership of the framework strategy
- Prepare estimates and track development progress
- Lead a small team of software engineers and prioritize activities
- Ability to mentor and recruit junior test engineers
- Support and development of internal test tools and automated frameworks
What you'll need:
- BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
- Expertise in software design
- Test automation infrastructure and framework development experience
- Proficiency with C# (5+ years)
- Knowledge and experience in C and C++
- Knowledge of Ruby or Python is a plus
- Experience in leading a team
- Strong comprehension of Automated Testing Implementation and Strategies
- Experience in development of PC based SW tools for communication with external devices/controllers (via UART,SPI,2IC,RS232)
- Strong understanding of all test fundamentals, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test management tools, and defect tracking tools
- Experience with Git
- Familiarity with software testing of user interface or communication protocols.
- Experience in software testing
- Experience in software development and test automation
- Application of software development life cycle concept.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong comprehension of Automated Testing Implementation and Strategies
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles

- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
- Knowledgeable of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
- Must be 18 years of age or older
