Meredith Daw

Assistant VP Enrollment, Executive Director Career Advancement, University of Chicago

Meredith Daw has led Career Advancement at the University of Chicago since 2006. As the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment and Student Advancement, and the Executive Director of Career Advancement, Meredith has spearheaded a transformation of the Career Advancement offerings, with an emphasis on earlier student interaction, more segmented and comprehensive student preparation, and more opportunities for students to explore and develop. Strongly linked to these objectives, she has developed the "UChicago Careers in" programs, a set of pre-professional programs that provide one-on-one advising, unique workshops and coursework focused on areas such as the arts, business, science, higher education, journalism, and law.

Meredith has also driven a 5x increase in the number of internship and full-time job opportunities offered to students. Meredith holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. In her spare time Meredith enjoys spending time with her husband, Peter, two children, William and James, and traveling.
