Senior Associate Partner Systems Engineer

About the Position:

Juniper Networks has an immediate opening for a team-oriented, highly effective, and motivated individual in Juniper's Federal Partner Systems Engineering Organization. Partner Systems Engineers are a critical component of the Juniper sales team and have a primary responsibility to assist Juniper Partner Account Managers with technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. Partner Systems Engineers have in-depth, hands-on experience with Juniper products as well as competitor's products and services and can demonstrate validated inter-networking and security skills to customers and business partners. Partner Systems Engineers assist with understanding customers' requirements, the design of Juniper solutions, delivering sales presentations, presenting technical information, conducting product demonstrations, installing product evaluations, presenting/training at seminars, and assisting with RFP and RFI responses.


This position is based in Herndon, VA, ( can also be located in DC and or MD) working with a team of Partner Account Managers supporting a number of fast-growing Juniper Federal Partners and Systems Integrators. This team focuses on supporting Partners and SI's working across all US Federal Agencies and represents full portfolio - Routing, Switching, Security and Cloud Solutions. This position reports into Partner Systems Engineering Manager and approximately 20% travel is required. Travel will be based on partner demand for sales activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

* A minimum of 3 years of experience as a pre-sales SE for a network vendor

  • US Citizen

* Strong hands-on experience with Juniper solutions or equivalent

* Experience presenting complex solutions both virtually and in-person.

* Experience working in the US Federal market helpful.

* B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent desired

Preferred Qualifications:


  • WiFi protocols and standards

* Layer 2 technologies, Spanning Tree, LAG, MC-LAG, Virtual Chassis

* Data center network design (EVPN/VXLAN, IP fabrics)


* Virtualization, VMware, Containerization,

* Automation, Python, Ansible, YANG
