Job Description

A Level I Personnel Security Specialist must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:

-Knowledge, experience and proficiency using OPM's Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system.
-Reviewing SF85, SF85P, and SF86 security questionnaires.
-Use of OPM's Personnel Investigations Processing System (PIPS) and the Central Verification System (CVS).
-Enrolling and activating applicants for HSPD-12 PIV cards.
-Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Experience with fingerprinting applicants.

A minimum of 2 year demonstrated experience in personnel security required.
Working on-site at a Government Facility preferred.
DoD Security Certification Training (CDSE) preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or 4 Years of relevant experience in lieu of Degree plus two years of required experience.

A Level I Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) must review applicant completed EQIP and other electronic or hard copy documents and databases and use systems related used for the initiation and processing of background investigations. The PSS must be able to assist applicants with corrective action concerning completion and submission of the applicant's personnel security documents and with e-QIP. The PSS will make entries into the PSC personnel security database, schedule appointments and take fingerprints, and perform other support functions, interact professionally with clients, and perform other administrative and clerical duties, as required.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
