Role Summary:

The IT Lead, Enterprise Applications role will be directly responsible for being an advisor for JD Edwards and other applications to both the IT analysts and Business. The responsibility also includes ensuring that Buckeye or 3rd Party resources handle day-to-day support of issues accordingly. Ensure the direction of the analysis and recommended solution is appropriate, effective, and meets the business requirements. At times, the Analyst will also investigate and implement solutions for more complex issues and projects.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

  • Project Implementation.
    • Spearhead the implementation of diverse projects related to Buckeye's applications.
    • Thoroughly review and manage end-user requirements for new applications.
    • Craft comprehensive design documents outlining the proposed changes.
  • System Maintenance.
  • Take charge of maintaining various systems and technologies.
  • Promptly address reported application issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Application Administration.
    • Guide system administrators in setting up assigned applications and managing system interfaces.
  • Oversee the administration of various applications to maintain system stability and security.
  • Internal Support.
  • Champion the enhancement of various IT systems by implementing lifecycle management practices for assigned and dependent applications.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation.
    • Scrutinize and manage documentation for all supported applications to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation encompassing IT PMO, Disaster Recovery, Interconnection, and other relevant areas.
  • Testing.
    • Carefully review and manage the testing of multiple system upgrades before releasing them to Buckeye Business.
  • Provide recommendations for application system upgrades and enhancements to drive continuous improvement.
  • On-Call Support.
    • Offer on-call support during non-business hours to Operations as needed.
  • Provide prompt and effective assistance to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Customer Service.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Process Improvements.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in identifying opportunities for process optimization.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline existing processes and enhance overall efficiency.

  • People Management.
    • If Direct Reports exists, provide performance planning and guidance for direct reports, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Effectively manage Leads and Analysts, ensuring successful execution of roadmaps, budgets, and forecasts for assigned applications and system environments.
  • Collaborate with direct reports to mentor soft, strategic, and technical skills.
  • Share technical expertise with colleagues to facilitate problem-solving and collective success.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned, demonstrating versatility and adaptability

Position Requirements:

  • Education. Bachelor's degree in computer science or business preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 10-12 Years of experience in JD Edwards implementation and support experience is a must.
  • Certifications in Accounting, Supply Management or Asset Maintenance are desired
  • Supporting JDE financials, distribution, equipment management, and time entry, including 3rd party applications that integrate with JDEdwards.
  • 10-12 years of business analysis experience, including development of business processes, functional specifications, testing, and implementation.
  • Experience developing online training and test plans/scripts.
  • Knowledge of SQL and SharePoint preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally

Essential Functions:

  • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.

Physical & Safety Requirements:

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
  • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
