ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:

  • For Employees who reside in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California, additional compensation is offered through a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA).

POSITION SUMMARY:

The individual in this position will provide technical leadership and coordinate the day-to-day operations SSI's enterprise business applications. They will primarily focus on the evaluation, design, customization, and optimization of solutions built on the Dynamics 365 platform in partnership with our internal IT Infrastructure team and Microsoft partner. Requires knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 software and effective personnel management skills as you will be expected to support, guide, inspire and mentor the team. Ensure that staff members meet and exceed expectations regarding requirements, performance, meeting defined metrics/benchmarks, that standards and processes are followed to provide effective customer service.

JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Oversee day to day operation of enterprise business applications administration and support. Responsible for the supervision of assigned staff including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning work, evaluating, and correcting job performance and disciplining as needed. (Daily)
  2. Work closely with General Manager of IT and Vice President of Operations to continuously seek out opportunities for operational improvements throughout the organization. (Weekly)
  3. Lead Dynamics and Dynamics adjacent application projects in accordance with SSI service delivery standards relating to strategy, implementation and optimization ensuring effective integration, security, data integrity, business value and compliance. (As Needed)
  4. Analyze new and existing technology solutions and prepare recommendations for maintenance and improvement including prioritized budget and ROI where applicable. (Weekly)
  5. Maintain the integrity of services integrated with our cloud environments, including in-house systems and external integrations. (Daily)
  6. Evaluate new Dynamics releases and applications, provide leadership in plans for their implementation and remain current with Dynamics best practices. (As Needed)
  7. Manage Dynamics enhancement projects to support business needs, leading the team and collaborating with external contractors, solution vendors, and consultants to deliver new business functionality to the platform. (As Needed)
  8. Use knowledge of best practices and functional expertise to drive change in the organization through technology and business process redesign, maximizing the return on investment of our enterprise application. (Daily)
  9. Monitor business applications performance and scalability, optimizing where necessary to meet business demands. (Daily)
  10. Manage team creation of reports, dashboards, automations, data warehousing to meet operational requirements. Provide meaningful and actionable intelligence to our business groups. (Weekly)
  11. Develop methodologies to support and ensure best practices are followed to drive consistent quality product. (Daily)
  12. Facilitate business process review sessions across all business and functional areas, learning business processes, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement, build business requirements and design solutions. (Monthly)
  13. Establish a proactive customer service-oriented team atmosphere, encouraging staff to participate in development and improvement of their own skills as well as facilitating the development of technology skills for all SSI employees. Provide coaching to exceptional employee talent to create and enhance career path opportunities while supporting a culture of accountability and open communication. (Weekly)
  14. Train/support end users with the use of the Dynamics 365 applications, and act as an escalation point for internal Dynamics 365 issues. (Weekly)
  15. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, vendors, contractors and auditors. (Daily)
  16. Manage the team's work intake, scheduling of upgrades and implementations to be compatible with business cycles and application/system dependencies. (Daily)
  17. Develop, maintain, and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans and solutions. (As Needed)
  18. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and effectively to individuals in any facet or level of the organization. (Daily)
  19. Procure, provision, and maintain appropriate licensing to support the organization's technologies, ensuring compliance with organizational and manufacture licensing requirements. (As Needed)
  20. Coordinate with IT Management to formulate budgetary plans and ensure maintenance of all equipment and software. (Semi-Annually)
  21. Adhere to and promote the personnel management, environmental, health and safety, and compliance polices of the organization. (Daily)

This position's primary focus is the oversight and operation of the company's enterprise application software, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, people and projects.

PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:

The incumbent is required to compare many courses of action in resolving problems and insuring the validity of data on all computer systems company wide. Uppermost in these considerations will be the expected benefit to the company and its employees within stated limits. Must identify and resolve problems or develop alternative solutions in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

The incumbent is required to have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of related work experience. Completion of PL-200 MS Power Platform Functional Consultant exam, MB-210 MS Dynamics 365 Sales Functional Consultant exam, and MB-240 Dynamics 365 Field Service Functional Consultant exam preferred.
  • Highly skilled in interpersonal and verbal/written communications, presentations, math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Within the past three years have implementation, upgrade and/or cloud migration experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 products, specifically focused on Great Plains, Sales and Field Service
  • Preferred integration experience utilizing platforms such as KingswaySoft
  • Good understanding of data warehousing and related tools, Microsoft Power Platform and how to integrate with Dynamics 365
  • Good command of workflow activities, business units, integration with Azure AD, security controls, etc.
  • Experience with Business Process Transformation, Project Management, Change Management and Stakeholder Management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the daily direction and supervision of multiple information technology departmental employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The position requires frequent lifting (or by other means for movement) of boxes and computer components/parts. Physical demands may include frequent bending; stooping, squatting, standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time and pulling/pushing of parts can also be expected. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 20 pounds routinely throughout the day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

SAFETY/PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Position is required to maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards. Proper use of personal protective equipment and safety devices as required by the Corporate Safety Document policies and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based in an office area that requires regular and predictable attendance. It will involve working alone on projects and collaborating as part of team. Incumbent may work at different workstations during the day and travel to regional locations in order to support the information technology needs of all company employees. Extra hours may periodically be required, in order to fulfill the functions required by this position. The position will include contact with all SSI employees and requires prompt and friendly handling of all related inquires
