Job Description

The Senior Analyst for Corporate Data Governance is a new internal corporate role to support the business architecture and provide governance to of ASM Research's corporate business systems. They will primarily focus on managing and governing financial data and interfaces between process areas across our business systems and overall operating model. The new role will work to ensure that ASM people, processes, procedures, and technology remain aligned with our Federal mission as well as develop and execute high-impact strategies to exploit new, disruptive technologies to improve enterprise innovation, automation, efficiency, and insights. Ability to report onsite to Fairfax VA HQ once per week strongly preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage scheduled interfaces between multiple ASM systems including monitoring jobs, scheduled and emergency.
  • Provide oversight to role-based user management of critical systems.
  • Monitor key interfaces for data quality and optimal execution.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of and system interface standards across the enterprise.
  • Ensure adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data practices, policies, and standards both at a technical and functional level.
  • Develop & maintain inventory and definitions of our business data and system interfaces.
  • Lead continuous improvement opportunities and support business case development for enhancements for new reporting opportunities.
  • Converting business and leadership requirements into functional specifications and implementations
  • Coordinate with system application owners and Compliance team to assess, define and implement SOX IT system controls at both the application and infrastructure security level.
  • Conduct operational control reviews, execute monitoring of key controls, develop, and implement process improvement activities to mature key IT system controls within the access management and reporting space.
  • Maintain financial system test databases and manage all financial system upgrades to ensure functional integrity for all releases/updates
  • Drive resolution of escalated defects and Root Cause Analysis
  • Provide content knowledge for cross-business functional training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience with corporate IT systems
  • 2+ years of experience in maintaining financial systems and interfaces in government contracting industry.
  • Experience performing audit functions (internal or external) around IT controls and key financial management systems to produce auditable financial statements.

Highly Desired Attributes:

  • Ability to lead defined initiative, effort, processes, etc.
  • Experience maintaining Deltek Costpoint, Concur, and/or CostPoint Enterprise Reporting (CER)
  • Experience with financial system audit readiness, response, or remediation
  • Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
