Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated AV Sales Engineer to join our integration business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
  • The ability to provide detailed material and labor cost estimates
  • Proficient in reading and understanding RFP documents, contract specifications, technology, architectural and electrical drawings
  • The ability to review any local, state, and federal codes and interpret these codes as related to the project
  • Communicates with department (Sales/Operations) personnel to understand and define the project scope for integration
  • Meet with client to determine needs and formulate design. Complete site evaluation to determine client requirements and design specifications- Prepare engineering analysis of project to include initial system design through various phases of engineering review to final system design, calculations, and integration documentation
  • Interpret and prepare blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical construction specifications
  • Manage engineering project schedule, propose changes to project, material selection and overall project costs
  • Create drawings for AV systems including line diagrams, facility floor plans, elevations, sections, panel details, rack elevations, and all other drawings required for successful project completion and coordination
  • Create final bill of materials for final system design
Basic Qualifications:
  • Expert knowledge of modern AV system design including:
    • Unified Communications integration (Zoom, S4B, MS Teams, WebEx, etc...)
    • Audio system design
    • Video system design
    • Experience with Crestron, AMX, and Extron control system design
    • Experience with Multicast IP network design and architecture
    • Knowledge of AV over IP system design (SDVoE, Crestron NVX, AMX SVSI, etc...)
    • Dante and AVB system design and configuration
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ability to make technical presentations. This includes interfacing effectively with customers, peers, and executive level management
  • Excellent organization and planning skills, able to set priorities to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to execute results against deadlines
  • Ability to solve technical problems, make recommendations and provide solutions
  • Knowledge of general construction and the construction process
  • Knowledge of IP network design and architecture
  • Experience with use of manufacturer-specific design tools (Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC, etc...)
  • 2D drafting in AutoCAD for architectural coordination and system interconnection
  • High level abilities in MS Office Suite, specifically, MS Excel, MS Word
