Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for utilizing proven project management best practices through initiating, planning, monitoring, controlling, and closing a diverse portfolio of cross-departmental projects that effectively support the company's overall business goals and objectives. Key projects include responsibility for new system implementations and system upgrades across all Brightview Senior Living communities, as well as operations projects.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing:

  • Manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously through all project phases while ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and meets expected quality standards
  • Translate operational business needs into system solutions with assistance from subject matter experts; guide business sponsor(s) through documentation of requirements and ensure clear business objectives are identified
  • Create, communicate, and execute project plans; identify resources and work with key stakeholders to assign realistic task assignments, timelines, and roles/responsibilities
  • Proactively identify project risks and issues; identify and implement mitigation plans. Employ change management tactics when necessary. Report variances and escalate critical issues to project sponsor(s) and IT PMO Manager.
  • Maintain up to date project documentation and produce weekly project status updates
  • Effectively direct work and manage large project teams comprised of subject matter experts from internal departments, community directors, third party vendors, and contractors
  • Lead project meetings to review project progress and workflow processes. Ensure deliverables meet specifications and requirements so that overall business objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all project stakeholders, including end users and various third-party vendor teams
  • Manage conflict resolution across project teams, value and balance multiple points of view
  • Conduct Lessons Learned and coordinate with appropriate teams to ensure a smooth post- go live project transition to appropriate operational team(s) upon completion.
  • Collaborate in the development, implementation, and improvement of IT and PMO policies, standards, processes and procedures

Qualifications

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least three years' experience leading technology-based projects.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise following project management best practices, including PMI methodology.
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Proficient in online project management software, Smartsheet experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to quickly master new technology and applications.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically; Can apply reason, logic, and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent written communication skills, utilizing proper grammar and tone in professional writing.
  • Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills; the ability to work effectively with associates at all levels of the organization, and external partners. Can present information to a wide range of individuals and influence the work of others without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Ability to drive decision-making process with a positive attitude and enthusiasm, even when faced with ambiguity
  • Detail oriented and possesses excellent time management skills
  • Collaborate and work well in a team environment, but can manage workload independently
  • Eager and willing to learn; thrive in a fast-paced environment
