Job Description

The Tempo Operations team enables and supports the evolving vision of Tempo Learning with an emphasis on student-centeredness, cross-team collaboration, and meaningful iteration of the product and its critical processes.

The Tempo Learning Operations Manager will lead a team of operational colleagues responsible for scaling the Walden s Competency-Based Education modality while creating a positive student experience. This person will play a critical role in cross functional collaboration, problem solving, and helping to make the operational model more efficient as the Tempo platform evolves.

The right candidate must be driven to identify and make improvements in specific operational areas in a way that improves the overall student experience, while providing operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

* Lead the TEMPO operations team to create and enhance an operational model for ultimate business efficiency.

* Coach, mentor and help train staff, to ensure cohesive business expectations and the support of operational tasks.

* Develop and administer operational procedures, policies, requirements, and infrastructure utilized by TEMPO that support students, faculty, and staff.

* Collaborate with cross functional teams in developing effective and efficient processes related to operational efforts.

* Monitor adherence to university policies pertaining to specified matters.

* Lead and/or serve on committees for initiatives as needed.

* Lead efforts and provide recommendations to streamline and automate operational processes while still delivering a positive student experience.

* Collect and present key improvement opportunities to leadership.

* Work with leadership, cross-functional operations teams, and student-facing resources at all levels of the organization

* May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

* Bachelor's degree Required. Master's degree Preferred.

* 2+ years of managerial experience.

* 3+ years of experience in higher education.

* Must be analytically minded, have a strong desire to understand the big picture of how Tempo works but also be conscientious and detail oriented.

* Must thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

* Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, collaboration, team building and participation, and human relation skills.

* Salesforce. com experience a plus

* Experience in objectively evaluating current processes for opportunities to optimize interdepartmental communication, collaboration, and end-to-end process performance.

* Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.

* Experience working in a global environment

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $51962.03 and $93918.96. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
