What You'll do:
Single-handedly negotiate and execute contracts including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TAs), Subcontract Agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Task Orders (TOs), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA). Government contract types include FFP, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrids.
Prepare formal contract correspondence and ensure contractual compliance with terms and conditions, federal and state regulations and restrictions, as well as internal management objectives.
Review and modify contracts, exercise options, terminate and close out contracts.
Review and support the Proposal team with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to include creation or reviews of compliance metrics, development of spreadsheets and audit trails for responsive and compliant submissions, and providing inputs for pricing strategies.
Conduct regular interactions and work as a team to execute tasks with the finance and accounting department, pricing, business development, operations, senior management and customer Contracting Officers.
Review and approve program invoices from a contractual perspective.
Other responsibilities related to contracts and compliance as they arise.
Secure all necessary recommendations and approvals while ensuring that Company contractual and procurement procedures are followed.
Ensure that all contract documents are properly executed per FAR, regulatory, and/or company policies and filed.
Interpret and explain contract provisions to help colleagues resolve claims and questions.
Prepare and distribute contracts and attendant documents for customer, subcontractor and supplier contracts to relevant members of Company team.
Required Qualifications:
5-8 years of Contracts Administration Experience
Bachelor's Degree
Local to the Virginia, Maryland, or DC area with availability to come on-site to McLean, VA 1 to 2 days a week
Working knowledge of FAR or DFARS
Document drafting and management experience
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel at all levels, customers, and suppliers
Computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents
Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Proficient research and presentation skills
Reliability and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Interpreting the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and the General Services Administration Acquisition Manual (GSAM).
Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), and Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM), is a plus.
Working knowledge of Multiple Award Schedule for GSA, General Services Administration, and One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) contract vehicles, including mass/administrative mod, IFF, and CPRM updating, is a big plus.
Successful completion of Contract Management courses is a plus: Principles of Business Contracts, Contract Negotiation, Ethics of Contracting, Financial Aspects of Business Contracts, Contract Law: Formation, Performance.
