ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:

  • For Employees who reside in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California, additional compensation is offered through a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA).

POSITION SUMMARY:

The successful incumbent will play an integral part in supporting talent acquisition, talent development and inclusion, diversity & culture (IDC) activities and initiatives by providing administrative support. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support work to the General Manager of Talent & Culture, some of which may require a high degree of confidentiality. Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assist Talent Acquisition team with various administrative duties to include, but not limited to;
  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews with hiring managers and interviewing panels. (daily)
  • Work with travel agency to handle candidate travel. (daily)
  • Assist with posting of new jobs and/or employees on SharePoint (daily)
  • Collate new hire paperwork and submit to Human Resources Team (daily)
  • Provide back up administrative support to the Talent Acquisition Generalist as needed. (weekly)
  • Assist Inclusion, Diversity & Culture team with various administrative duties, researching, and carrying out project tasks.
  • Assisting with ERG meetings, communication, and events by serving as an ERG liaison (daily)
  • Assisting with IDC initiatives through program material preparation and execution (weekly)
  • Sending weekly diversity updates (weekly/monthly)
  • Updating Diversity video monitors (monthly)
  • Assist Talent Development team with various administrative duties to include, but not limited to;
    • LMS updates and maintenance (weekly)
    • Drafting emails and various correspondence (daily)
    • Making new hire immersion travel & communication to new hires (daily)
  • Assist General Manager with various administrative tasks and research projects as assigned/needed. (daily)

        Additional Functions may include providing back-up support on:

        1. Assistant Talent Acquisition Management with event planning of recruiting events. (monthly)
        2. Assist Talent Acquisition Management with Employment Branding. (weekly)

        SCOPE:

        The incumbent is responsible for providing support and administrative assistance to the Talent Acquisition, Talent Development & Inclusion, Diversity/Culture Teams. Assists in providing firsthand support and organizing the day-to-day operations of the recruiting & onboarding processes and programs to drive increased diversity and inclusion at SSI. The position involves a high degree of professionalism, organization, and customer service.

        PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:

        Incumbent is required to act independent of supervision in routine matters governed by either policy or established procedure. The incumbent must be flexible and able to solve questions and problems by using sound judgment and seeking advice from management.

        EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

        Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of recruiting, human resources, talent development, diversity/inclusion and/or administrative support experience required. Individual must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

        SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

        None.

        PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

        The position requires frequent lifting (or by other means for movement) of boxes and computer components/parts. Physical demands may include frequent bending; stooping, squatting, standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time and pulling/pushing of parts can also be expected. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 20 pounds routinely throughout the day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

        SAFETY/PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

        Position is required to maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards. Proper use of personal protective equipment and safety devices are required as stated by the Corporate Safety Document policies and procedures.

        WORK ENVIRONMENT:

        This position is based in an office area that requires regular and predictable attendance. It will involve working alone on projects and collaborating as part of team. Incumbent may work at different workstations during the day and travel to regional locations to support the information technology needs of all company employees. Extra hours may periodically be required, to fulfill the functions required by this position. The position will include contact with all SSI employees and requires prompt and friendly handling of all related inquires.
