Responsibilities:

This Division Manager role reports to the C-Suite of TSC and is responsible for Product Lines that serve TSC's multiple business and mission areas. This role is responsible the Division Profit and Loss (P&L), growth strategy, financial planning, and execution with a keen focus on balancing risk and profit. This Division Manager will support Corporate business strategy activities with a focus on growing product offerings, developing market aligned roadmaps, and building sales backlog for Hardware and Software products. This role includes supervisory responsibilities in managing, growing and maintaining talented staff for the successful execution of TSC product development and production transition programs. Emphasis will be placed on current product line support and expansion while identifying other TSC technologies to transition into products and opportunities for product pull through on TSC programs. You will have the responsibility for leading the management on customer funded and internal investment programs to ensure successful execution.

  • Performs as P&L manager for a business Division that develops Product Lines to meet an agreed to 5-year Sales and Profit plan, which also aligns the Division to the overall TSC business goals and Corporate vision
  • Supervisor to other senior staff that sets their performance objectives and metrics to align with Division objectives and metrics while promoting personal growth
  • General Manager responsible for managing multiple Product Lines to meet target goals while executing an agreed to business and technology growth plan
  • Works to generate, and execute to, annual investment and indirect budgets against direct production and sales and booking goals
  • Manage a team to track product issues and execute ECOs within the roadmap and budgetary constraints and supporting the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of fielded products
  • Collaborate with production and finance teams to plan product builds and execute within resource limitations, and manage product line inventory to minimize customer lead time within business limits
  • Meet annual sales and profit goals established by an agreed to Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Meet objectives set by company-wide Key Performance Indicators and Objectives set by the AOP
  • Develop and sustain year over year funded backlog growth to inform proactive and strategic hiring, capital expenses, product line improvements, and product investments
  • As part of the AOP, develop or select proposed new Product Line development projects for review by Corporate for potential investment
  • Support business capture and proposal activities in collaboration with Corporate BD through market assessments, customer engagement, product line and roadmap development activities, ROI analyses, and sales forecasts
  • Support program reviews and ensure that programs will meet agreed to profit, on-time deliverables, customer expectations while mitigating cost, schedule and technical risk

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree with 12+ years of Product Line P&L management experience over business operations with >50M of revenue (Preferred to have a technical background)
  • Demonstrated ability in working with Corporate BD leads to develop, maintain and grow pipeline and achieve long term growth goals
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product roadmaps and supporting commercial or government pricing
  • Experience in developing chains of managerial and technical leadership within a business and its supporting operations
  • Strong background and track record of leading business financial, strategic and resource related metrics while complying with and aligning with company policies and procedures
  • Operating within AS9100 or ISO9001 process structure
  • Proven ability to produce year over year Product sales and profit growth
  • Strong background in management, regulations, and processes in the DoD government industry
  • Experience with product line pricing Experience translating customer requirements into product development and transition business strategies
  • Deep understanding of the acquisition process of Products and Services in a DoD environment
  • Familiar with product manufacturing and quality systems and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability leading a geographically dispersed and matrixed team with the objective of formulating innovative solutions, problem solving and able to build strong teams
  • Effective communicator proficient in presentation development and leading or participating in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET DoD Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Travel as needed, 25%-35% estimated

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with radar, SIGINT, and/or electronic warfare products
  • Experience delivering products and services to Prime Contractors (RTC, LMCO, L3, etc.)
  • Experience with transitioning R&D efforts into production
  • Experience pricing and managing products within USG FAR/DFAR requirements
