Responsibilities

Our program provides IT-based efforts required to support DoD and the IC for technology and concept development. The DoD intelligence mission is to provide accurate, relevant, and timely data and intelligence to tactical, operational, and strategic decision makers across the COCOM, nuclear, conventional, and Special Operations Forces. Our program supports unclassified and classified software development and integration services. Some of the work we will do is brand new Big Data, data analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics, while other work will be refining and improving legacy development, as well as providing operations and maintenance

The Software Engineer Job Responsibilities:

    Designs and develops user interfaces and visualizations that support capabilities such as data discovery and query, analytic visualizations, link-node analysis, AI/ML big data analytics, and object production and relationships
  • Develops services using modern techniques such as REST, Java, JSON, Spring, Python, Javascript Web UI frameworks (e.g., JQuery, Angular, React), and Docker
  • Uses processes and tools that support the DevSecOps pipeline including JIRA, Git, Junit, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory
  • Supports development and demonstration of user interface and visualization concepts, and incorporates analyst feedback into the backlog

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience OR A PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience; An additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement
  • Experience working in an Agile, Microservice cloud based environment
  • Experience with Java, Python, shell scripting, JSON, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaEE, Docker, and Web UI Javascript frameworks (JQuery, Angular, React)
  • Performs backend software engineering and development activities associated with supporting, maintaining, and enhancing software using an Agile DevSecOps model
  • Develops and integrates bug fixes and new feature enhancements using DIA standard development tools and processes (e.g., Java, Jira, Git, Junit).
  • Must have a DoD IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE, CISSP, etc.) by start date
  • Top Secret/SCI with ability to obtain polygraph

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with JIRA, Git, Junit, and Jenkins
  • Experience with multiple database technologies including RDBMS, Elasticsearch and/or SOLR, NoSQL (Hadoop and/or EMR), ProgreSQL
  • Experience with Linux
  • AWS/Cloud experience
  • Top Secret/SCI with Poly

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
