Manual Test Engineer

A Manual Test Engineer is needed to perform component, integration, and system level testing by writing and executing system-level test procedures, evaluating changes made to software applications, and verifying defect corrective actions discovered during development, testing, and/or operational use. The selected individual will join the existing Manual Test team in support of a fast-paced, dynamic software development program. The Manual Test team is part of a test organization that includes teams that automate regression tests and maintain the testing framework and infrastructure. The selected individual will utilize basic system administration skills and will work with physical equipment in a test lab environment.
Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance with an appropriate Polygraph.
The Manual Test Engineer will perform system testing of components (modules), and integration testing through system and end-to-end evaluation. She/he will develop and implement test procedures and test reports and will support the software configuration management process. She/he must understand all software components and their interface requirements. Tasking will include developing test data; defining test acceptance criteria; providing system testing expertise for test procedure documentation; reviewing of test plans; developing test methodologies, and/or performing subsystem interface and software module testing. The selected individual will assist the Software Development team and be responsible for working collaboratively with the following groups: Software Development, System Engineering, Integration, Deployment, and Sustainment.
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline, and at least 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD).
Experience using automated test tools.
Experience with programming and scripting languages (i.e., Java, shell, Python, etc).
SAFe Agilist or DevOps certification.
