Site Reliability Engineer, Senior

As a site reliability engineer on our team, you'll work with the DoD on the development of more robust systems for by building a resilient infrastructure. You'll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You'll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair.You'll work on development of tools and processes to drive DevSecOps maturity by automating infrastructure provisioning, software builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments. This is your chance to leverage your expertise in building enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Rancher, AWS, and Azure. You will apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. As a DevOps Site Reliability Engineer, you will use your development experience to write infrastructure as code and deploy using industry best practices like GitOps and CI/CD in a hybrid cloud environment. You will lead efforts to incorporate open source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best - innovate. You Have:

  • Experience working in Linux environments, while supporting production enterprise applications

  • Experience with large distributed, highly available environments and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with declarative Infrastructure as Code tools, including Puppet, Terraform, and Ansible

  • Experience with GitOps and CI/CD tools, including ArgoCD, Gitlab CI, or Jenkins

  • Experience with Python, Microservices, Serverless, MLOps, AIOps, and Bash shell scripting

  • Ability to dive deep into all aspects of the stack to identify and fix problems and troubleshoot

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Big Data stackusing Hadoop, Spark, Accumulo or MongoDB, and Solr or Elasticsearch

  • Experience withsoftware development processes and code management tools and processes

  • Experience with monitoring tools, including Prometheus and Grafana

  • Knowledge of full stack infrastructure, rollout management of stack, differences between managing Kubernetes and Cloudera stack

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams, in an organized manner

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate affectively, and raise risks to senior leadership and balance team skillsets

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
