Facilities Project Manager

As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active TS or CBP Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain an active TS or CBP Public Trust clearance.

Oversee facility build-outs, reconfigurations, maintenance projects and construction management for the Management Office. Provide support in management, control, coordination, and execution of facility projects. This position is on-site in Ashburn, Virginia.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Facilities Project Manager: $ 110,000 - $120,000.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Facilities Project Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the review and oversight of facilities projects designed to maintain, modernize and/or renovate existing facilities as well as construction of new facility projects and infrastructure.
  • Develop design strategies for new construction projects and renovation of existing building interiors.
  • Assist with managing facility projects that include building maintenance, operations, repair, and sustainment.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Maintain project costs, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Complete weekly and monthly internal and external reporting.
  • Perform quality control and assurance inspections and surveys.
  • Provide project team coordination for finished plans, specifications and material selection required for construction.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure compliance with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and safety, and Agency requirements.
  • Gather project requirements; develop statement of work, build estimates, develop schedules, and execute projects.
  • Develop project briefings and presentations for senior management.
  • Maintain and organize project files, invoices, estimates, and vendor information.
  • Investigate and resolve facility construction and renovation issues.
  • Capture action items for project management teams, capture meeting minutes and disseminate to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Work with multiple stake holders to develop statements of work and independent government estimates for budgeting purposes.
  • Act as CBP representative and liaison with GSA on projects to ensure CBP's requirements were met with in CBP's budget.
  • Perform as Business Partner's (BP) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for overall project design and construction.
  • Initiate and detail any BP initiated change orders.
  • Provide scope of changes to GSA. Review any contractor/GSA changes to ensure items were true changes and not covered in base documents.
  • Coordinate security requirements by providing architect and contractors with information to design procure and install Perimeter Access Control Systems (PACS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
  • Work with procurement to order and install furniture. Coordinate between Furniture Dealer, architect, and contractor to ensure power and data connections are in the optimal locations for the furniture. Generated lists of deficient work and worked with GSA and furniture dealers to provide solutions.
  • Update and maintain projects in tracking software IBM TRIRIGA, added weekly progress reports for every project.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Facilities Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, and/or Engineering or other relative degree and 5 years of related experience with Federal government clients.
  • Working knowledge of furniture procurement and installation.
  • Ability to coordinate facility planning requirements, such as IT, Security, Infrastructure, and Construction.
  • Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for manipulating scheduling data and other project information.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, IBM TRIRIGA is highly desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work on multiple projects and support numerous locations and departments with their unique and individual needs.
  • PMP Certification desired.
  • Experience working as a contractor for federal agencies, specifically Department of Homeland Security.
  • Active TS Clearance or CBP Public Trust highly desired.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
