Job Description
Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring part-time Warehouse Associates on 2nd shift in Baltimore, Maryland. The Warehouse Associate positions are responsible for accurately pulling parts to fill orders, packaging orders, and shipping orders to internal and external customers. Seeking candidates with no previous work experience required. High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Requirements for the Warehouse Associate positions include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Warehouse associate jobs, including the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds, including bulky objects. Will occasionally be required to maneuver items weighing in excess of 70 pounds. These positions require repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. - Self-starter able to work with limited supervision..
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be reliable with strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must possess ability to package and short orders to customers.
- Must possess ability to accurately count parts and stock inventory.
- Must possess ability to process and separate orders.
- Must possess ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
- Proficient computer technology skills, including the ability to use company software to perform warehouse functions.
- Must be able to work additional hours to meet business and customer demands.
