Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BIM Support Specialist who can also contribute to BIM management tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. This role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting BIM software issues, assisting with project coordination, and contributing to BIM standards and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to BIM users, troubleshoot software issues, and ensure smooth operation of BIM tools and workflows.

  • BIM Software Management: Manage and maintain BIM software applications, including installation, updates, and configuration.

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to support BIM implementation, coordinate model integration, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • BIM Standards and Workflows: Contribute to the development and implementation of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.

  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops for BIM users, promoting best practices and efficient workflows.

  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks on BIM models, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of BIM processes, workflows, and technical issues.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with BIM managers, project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to support project delivery and BIM integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in BIM support and management roles.

  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 (ACC).

  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting BIM software issues and implementing solutions.

  • Knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices (e.g., BEP, COBie, IFC, LOD).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Project coordination experience, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Experience in training and educating BIM users on software functionalities and best practices.

  • Familiarity with construction and architectural processes, terminology, and workflows.

  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy in BIM deliverables.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in BIM management or related areas (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).

  • Experience with BIM collaboration platforms and cloud-based workflows.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Dynamo, Python) for automation and customization.

  • Familiarity with virtual design and construction (VDC) concepts and tools.

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and coordinating BIM models across disciplines.

Compensation Range:

$68,840.00 - $91,786.00
