Position Description

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking an Energy Acquisition Analyst to support the Air Force Directorate of Civil Engineers (AF/A4C) at the Pentagon. The Ideal candidate will provide Senior-level SME(s) with knowledge of Climate change/integration strategy.



Responsibilities:
  • Developing, coordinating, consolidating, and maintaining SAF/IE strategic climate integration governance and programmatic documents (e.g., Department of the Air Force Instructions (DAFIs), policies, procedures, records, etc.), action plan recommendations, task and inquiry responses, and issue resolution action plans related to climate integration strategy to support of installation resiliency and operational readiness.
  • Providing detailed updates to leadership and interested parties by participating in meetings and coordinating, consolidating, developing, and delivering associated meeting materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides, after action reports, minutes)
  • Preparing staff packages and products (e.g., staff summary sheets, presentations, spreadsheets, correspondence, background papers, talking papers, and white papers, etc.) for Senior Executive Service or General Officer, and Presidential Appointee-level audiences.
  • Engage and collaborate with Department of the Air Force (DAF - SAF/HAF/USSF) staffs and AFMC/AFIMSC/AFCEC as well as other pertinent organization (including OSD, COCOM, MAJCOM, FIELDCOM, other services and related agencies) regarding data related to severe weather & climate impacts/change projections to provide analytical input on research required to support document development, conduct probabilistic risk analysis, and create action plans and recommendations focused on installation resilience specific to infrastructure risk.
  • Arranging and participating in working groups, forums, and collaborative events while working with OSD, Joint Staff, other Service staff(s), HAF directorate(s), MAJCOM(s), FIELDCOM(s), Center(s), and other government offices and agencies to respond to queries, requests for information, and other support for the strategic climate integration office and in developing Courses of Actions, supporting facts and estimates, and recommendations on DAF Climate Integration
  • Recommending policy updates related to Climate Change which is consistent with Executive Orders, laws, and DoD policy.
  • Maintaining proficiency in current climate change projections, analytical data and/or tools, industry developments and investigate applicability and provide recommendations, impact analysis and future application concepts to leadership regarding such.
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a senior analyst/program manager.
  • Requires knowledge in Climate and severe weather impacts to future operations related to installation/mission support areas.
  • Knowledge of DAF and DOD corporate processes and experience with collaborating and leading complex teams as well as ability to analyze/interpret strategies and guidance from Senior DAF leaders.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
