The Optical Society, a prestigious scientific society focused on optics and photonics, has an immediate opening in its Information Technology group. We are looking for a talented business analyst to provide leadership and support in the enhancement, management and support of the Society’s core business applications, including its Association Management System and peer-review system. The incumbent will play a key role in the introduction of business intelligence to OSA. He/she will lead internal data quality initiatives and work with an internal team of technologists to improve business processes for increased productivity and efficiency.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; project management certification preferred.

10+ years experience; experience in association environment preferred.

Significant experience working with end users to develop requirements and propose solutions to meet user needs. Experience with non-profit AMS/CRMs, such as netFORUM, iMIS, or other comparable enterprise level CRM’s; experience with accounting systems, such as Solomon or Great Plains.

Advanced technical knowledge and hands on experience building BI platforms, with strong preference given to those who have leveraged Microsoft’s Business Intelligence Platform (SharePoint, MS SQL (Including T-SQL, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services, PerformancePoint, and PowerPivot).

Highly effective communication, project management and interpersonal skills a must.
